Amanda Anderson
Executive Director
Amanda was born and raised in High Point and has had a passion for serving for many years. She has a B.A. in Religious Studies with a concentration in Non-Profit Management from UNCG. She has worked and severed on non-profit boards for over 10 years. She has felt called to start Cover the City Project because there was a large need in her community and with the backing of several close friends and family members CTC was born. Amanda and her husband Ben have two children, Benjamin and Collins. In their free time they love to cheer on their Florida Gators and travel.
Leslie Graham

Price Commercial Properties
Leslie currently works at Ed Price & Associates, REALTORS. She has taken an active role by volunteering, serving and working for and on various boards, organizations and agencies throughout the city. In her free time, she passionately follows the Philadelphia Eagles, travels with family and friends and enjoys DIY projects around her home.
Olivia Pekkala

Qubein Children’s Museum
Olivia was born and raised in High Point and continues to call the city home with her husband Peter. She holds a B.A. in Communication with a concentration in Health Communication as well as a minor in Journalism. Olivia is the Marketing and Communications Director at The Qubein Children’s Museum in High Point. She actively volunteers with the Make A Wish organization and has a heart for serving children in need. She was introduced to the Cover the City project while working at A Cleaner World and felt called to be more heavily involved.
Mary Drummond

Mary has proudly called High Point home for 30 years. Mary is married to Michael and mother to Clark and Nelson. Mary is the owner/president of Oherring Properties as well as CEO for Packrite. In addition, Mary serves on the Board of Trustees for the University of Mount Olive. She also chairs the Herring Scholarship Funds for UMO in addition to James Sprunt Community College. Mary also serves on the Board of Visitors for High Point University and was recently appointed to the Board of Advisors for Barton College. In her spare time, Mary enjoys reading, time at the beach with family and friends as well as giving back to her community.
Bonnie Soltis
Board Member
Bonnie was born in New Jersey and grew up mostly in Florida. As a Gator alumni she loves going back for football games and visiting family. After moving to North Carolina in 2012 she got involved with her community any way that she could. She enjoys running in 5k's or "fun runs" to support local nonprofits. Bonnie lives on 3 acres where she loves to grow vegetables, blueberries, and raise bantam cochin chickens. When she's not gardening you can typically find her kayaking or hiking.
Missy Minor

Pinnacle Financial Partners
Missy lives in Wallburg and works for Pinnacle Financial Partners as a Financial Specialist. She has been in banking for 18 years. She loves building relationships with her clients and helping them to achieve financial success. Working in downtown High Point opened her eyes to the extent of homelessness and poverty in the community and is excited to be able to help those in need. She is married to Zach and they have three children.
Joe Hubay

High Point Jewelers & Fine Gifts
Joe is the Owner of High Point Jewelers and Fine Gifts in High Point. He is very active in the community and serves on many boards. He and his wife Pam have 8 children all together and love spending time together. They just recently opened a new business Plank Street Tavern. In his free time, Joe likes to cook, watch football and spend time with his family.
Beth Phelps

Beth was born and raised in the Triad. She worked in hospitality for many years and saw first hand the alarming needs for the homeless population in her town. Her and her husband Josh have three children and in their free time love to travel, play sports and be outdoors.
Misty Roberts

Misty was born and raised in Sophia, NC and currently lives in High Point. She has been in the financial service field for more than nineteen years. With a bachelor's degree from UNC Charlotte, she adeptly works to resolve complicated issues in the office and in the community. Misty currently volunteers with The Junior League of High Point and in the past served on the board. For many years she and her family have supported A Simple Gesture with food to provide a sustainable supply to local areas. Misty and her family are members of The Summit in Kernersville. Away from the office Misty enjoys spending time on the beach with her husband Daniel and children Carico and Avery.
